For a long time, I kept seeing the same kind of student get missed.
They were bright, capable, and independent in many ways, but they were struggling socially. They wanted friends. They wanted connection. They just needed the right kind of support to get there.
There were social groups and programs for students with higher support needs. But for the students in between, there was very little that truly fit.
I’m Victoria Bennett Gandolfo, M.S., a licensed NYC teacher with a master’s in Teaching Students with Disabilities. After years in public and private schools, I saw how deeply social struggles were affecting students’ confidence, happiness, and sense of belonging, and how often families were left trying to figure it out on their own.
That’s why I created the Friendship Confidence™ Program.
I wanted to build something more intentional. A program created specifically for students who are independent in many ways, but still need real support making and keeping friends.
Over and over, families told me they had been looking for something like this for so long for their child, something that finally made sense for that “in-between” space no one else seemed to be addressing.
That’s what Friendship Confidence™ was built to do.
